At The Train Chiang Mai Hotel

Had access to a refreshing pool for cooling off during hot days. Spacious room with a comfy bed contributed to restful nights.

The air conditioning wasn't adjustable, stuck at one temperature, which seemed like a Hoth ice slab. Shower was cold, towels looked dirty despite being washed, and the noise from the central A/C and surroundings made for a less-than-ideal atmosphere. It's also quite the trek from the old city. Noticed some unexpected charges for sheet cleaning due to minor usage of Tiger Balm, which left a sour taste despite the room being otherwise clean.

The breakfast features real coffee, a nice upgrade from instant. The location is conveniently close to the station for easy travel.

location: the hotel was very close to the center of chiangmai, places to eat and the bus station. we stayed for 1 night and truly enjoyed the room, which was big with a bathtub. the breakfast was good with freshly brewed coffee, the overall atmosphere was special.

Facilities were really good, though Wi-Fi was very poor.

Sweet as spot for train access, eh? But the beds felt hard as a rock and there's heaps of noise from the station. The staff were super friendly, though!

I loved my stay, as it was just a short walk to the Iron Bridge and the vibrant Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, making it super easy to explore the local culture and grab a bite to eat during my weekend city adventures.

Good place with free wi-fi, outdoor swimming pool, and 24-hour security. I remember how the staff helped me return my forgotten hairbrush. I recommend enjoying the cafe nearby. I'm coming back for a romantic escape.
